CANCELLATION POLICY:
Please be prepared to pay for ALL scheduled lessons. NO REFUNDS will be given for missed lessons. If at least 48 hours notice is given, then a make-up lesson may be scheduled. As we all have very busy schedules, please try to keep rescheduling requests to a minimum. One month’s notice is required for termination of lessons.
FEES:
Payment for the month’s lessons is due before the first lesson of each month for the full month. E-transfer is the best format. Extra fees for recitals and rehearsals with pianists will be discussed and communicated as necessary.
LITERATURE:
The student is responsible for purchasing all music books/digital copies, which will be assigned as needed. The student will also need a notebook in which to record their weekly assignments.
LESSON PREPARATION AND PRACTICE:
On-line lessons: On-line lessons will be on Zoom using a recurring link. It will be the student’s responsibility to sign on at the appropriate time.
Students are required to complete assignments each week. Daily practice is vital to musical progress. The recommended amount of practice time will be discussed with the student. A general rule of thumb for practicing is FIVE days a week.
Parents are encouraged to take an active role in your child’s practice. You can support your child by eliminating distractions and creating a quiet space to practice, as well as going through the assignments with your child daily. Parent participation in this way will guarantee a successful outcome for your child’s musical development.
